DASHBOARD OVERVIEW¶
The Dashboard serves as the main control panel of IMS Software – Light POS.
It provides an overview of key modules, business information, and quick navigation options to various features of the system.¶

Using the Search Menu¶
If you click on “Search Menu Here”, you can search for any feature or module available in IMS Software.
You can also select an option from the suggested list that appears while typing your search keyword.¶

Login Branch Selection¶
The label “Login To: Kathmandu” displays the current Login Branch in use.
If you wish to change the Branch, click on it and select a branch from the list.¶

Fiscal Year Selection¶
The label “F/Y 82/83” displays the current Fiscal Year in use.
If you wish to change the fiscal year, click on it and select a different year from the list.¶

Notifications¶
Click the Notification icon to view all system notifications.
This section displays important alerts, updates, and messages related to the software.¶

Configure Printer¶
Click the Configure Printer icon to set up or modify your printer settings.
From here, you can choose your desired printer, adjust printing preferences, and save the configuration for future use.¶

User Menu Options¶
Click the User Menu icon to access several key features of IMS Software, including:
- Sign Out – Log out of the software.
- Change Password – Change your login password.
- Backup – Create a backup of your software data.

Masters Module¶
Click on Masters to manage your product and related master details.¶

Inventory Information¶
Under Masters → Inventory Info, you can manage:
- Product Master – Add or update product details.
- Product Category – Define and manage product categories.
- Product Group Master – Create and organize product groups.
- Barcode Mapping & Printing – Map and print product barcodes.
- Warehouse Master – Manage warehouse details and locations.

Customer & Vendor Information¶
Under Masters → Customer & Vendor Info, you can:
- Create Customer Master – Add and manage customer details.
- Create Vendor Master – Manage vendor or supplier information.
- Set up Customer/Vendor Groups – Organize records for easy access and reporting.

Sales Price Information¶
Under Masters → Sales Price Info, you can update or change product prices in bulk.
This helps you efficiently manage pricing for multiple products at once.(multiple batch)¶

Promotion & Loyalty Information¶
Under Masters → Promotion & Loyalty Info, you can manage:
- Loyalty Point Settings – Define how points are earned and redeemed.
- Loyalty Point Adjustments – Make corrections or updates to customer points.

Others Information¶
Under Masters → Others Info, you can add and manage the Unit Master of products.
This allows you to define different units of measurement (e.g., pieces, kilograms, liters) for accurate stock tracking.¶

Transaction¶
Click on the Transaction module to manage day-to-day business operations, including purchases, sales, and inventory movements.
This module is directly linked to Masters, ensuring data consistency for all transactions.¶

Under Transactions → Purchase, you can handle all purchase-related activities:
- Purchase Invoice – Record purchases from vendors.
- Debit Note / Purchase Return – Record product returns or purchase adjustments.

Under Transactions → Sales, you can manage:
- Sales Tax Invoice – Record product sales to customers.
- Credit Note / Sales Return – Record returns or sales adjustments.
- Cash Handover – Manage and record cash transactions.

Under Transactions → Inventory Movement, you can manage stock operations such as:
- Add Opening Stock – Enter starting stock quantities.
- Stock Issue – Record products issued from inventory.
- Stock Issue Return – Manage the return of previously issued stock.

The Report Module allows you to view, analyze, and track your business data, including purchases, sales, inventory, and VAT.¶

- Purchase Book Report – Overview of all purchase invoices.

Under Reports → Inventory Reports, you can view and analyze inventory-related information, including:
- Stock Summary Report – Overview of current stock levels for all products.
- Stock Ledger Report – Detailed record of stock transactions for each product.
- Stock Valuation Report – Assess the total value of inventory based on cost or price.
- Stock Movement Analysis Report – Track additions, issues, and returns of stock.
- Stock Aging Report – Monitor the age of inventory to manage slow-moving items.
- Opening Stock Report – View the initial stock entered for products.
- Item Expiry Report – Track products nearing their expiration date.
- Maximum and Minimum Stock Level Report – Identify products that are above or below desired stock levels.
- Reorder Level Stock Report – Highlight products that need to be reordered.

VAT Reports¶
Under Reports → VAT Reports, you can view various VAT-related reports, including:
- VAT Purchase Register – Overview of all VAT-related purchases.
- VAT Purchase Return Register – Details of VAT-related purchase returns.
- VAT Sales Register – Overview of all VAT-related sales.
- Sales Return Register – Details of VAT-related sales returns.
- VAT Other Adjustments Register – Track VAT adjustments other than purchases or sales.
- Annexure 13 (Anusuchi 13) – Official VAT annexure report as per government requirement.
- One Lakh Above Sales Report – Sales transactions exceeding NPR 100,000.
- One Lakh Above Purchase Report – Purchase transactions exceeding NPR 100,000.
- Transaction Activity Log Report – Detailed log of all transactions in the system for auditing purposes.

Loyalty & Promotion Reports¶
Under Reports → Promotion & Loyalty Reports, you can view and analyze customer rewards, including:
- Sales Report – Membership-wise – Track sales grouped by customer membership types.
- Membership Points Report – View loyalty points earned and redeemed by members. These reports help monitor customer engagement and loyalty program performance

Miscellaneous Reports¶
Under Reports → Miscellaneous Reports, you can view various additional reports, including:
Product Master List – Displays a complete list of all products recorded in the system. This report helps you quickly reference product information and maintain accurate records.¶

Configuration¶
The Configuration Module in IMS Software allows you to set up system preferences, customize operations, and define parameters that control how the software behaves.
This module ensures the software is tailored to your business processes and operational needs.¶

Company Profile¶
Under Configuration → Company Profile, you can view and manage your company’s details, including:
- Company Name – Name of your organization.
- Address – Registered office or branch address.
- Contact Information – Phone numbers, email addresses, and websites.
- Tax Details – GST/VAT registration numbers and tax-related information.

Users & Preferences¶
Under Configuration → Users & Preferences, you can manage user rights, system access, and fiscal year settings.
- User Rights – Assign permissions to users for different modules and functionalities in IMS Software.
- Preferences – Customize settings for individual users, including default views, notifications, and module access.
- Fiscal Year – Change or set the fiscal year for the system as needed.
This section ensures that each user has the appropriate access and control according to their role in the organization, and that system operations are aligned with the correct fiscal period.

Utilities¶
The Utilities Module in IMS Software provides tools for system maintenance, data manage- ment, and administrative tasks.
It helps ensure smooth operation, data integrity, and proper system management.¶

Migration¶
Under Utilities → Migration, you can perform Master Migration using Excel sheets.
Master Migration – Allows you to upload master data, opening stock, and other records directly from Excel files into IMS Software.
This feature ensures quick and accurate data import without manually entering large amounts of information.¶

Data Backup & Restore¶
Under Utilities → Backup & Restore, you can:
- Backup – Create copies of your data for safety.
- Restore – Recover data from previous backups in case of issues. This ensures data security and smooth
- system operation.

Accounting Module¶
Clicking on the Accounting Module tab opens the IMS Accounting Module.
This module allows you to manage and monitor all accounting and financial activities, including ledgers, cash/bank transactions, and reports.¶

Return to Dashboard¶
If you click on the company logo/picture, the system will navigate back to the Dashboard.
This provides a quick way to return to the main overview screen from any module.¶
